TRAINING - MAIN POINTS
With modern railroad equipment, trains can be handled considerable distances. But at some point, these trains must be inspected and tested to see if they are in safe working order. If a freight car or locomotive is not working safely, the equipment must be documented and eventually repaired. You play a vital role in this process.
The Air Brake and Train Handling section of the rules book will be your source of reference and will guide you in performing procedures correctly.
You will be asked to prove your understanding and knowledge of these very important procedures.
You will:
- be asked to answer written questions to prove your knowledge, and
- to perform a hands-on demonstration to prove your understanding and knowledge of these rules and procedures.
